Disneyland Trip in April
East coast girl visits Disneyland!
I've journeyed all around the USA and have been to California a half a dozen times, this, however, was my first trip to Disneyland. As a tried and true Walt Disney World fan, my excitement to visit Walt's first theme park was palpable.
Coming from the east coast (NJ area) made for a rather long travel day, so I was happy to settle into my Paradise Pier hotel room and grab a quick bite to eat at the Surfside Lounge. Their Paradise Club Sandwich was delish and the surprise birthday cupcake was a fun treat!
My first morning in the parks was dedicated to the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" guided tour. It was a perfect way to become oriented with the park layout and was immersive in the parks history and Walt Disney's vision.
Over the next few days, I enjoyed exploring both parks, Downtown Disney and all three on property resorts. Every thing is super close and manageable.
My trip tips:
~invest in the park hopper option - so convenient to hop between parks
~stay at an on property resort and enjoy the early morning access to the parks. I conquered Carsland in 1 hour with minimum lines.
~bring a sweater, early morning & evenings were a little chilly
Disneyland is an ahh-mazing vacation spot for families to "chill-lax" and have tons of fun with memories for a lifetime!
